The Northern California Junior Rodeo Association (NCJRA) is a non-profit organization that has been in existence for 42 years. Founded in 1982, NCJRA strives to preserve our western heritage, promote the sport of youth rodeo, and is 100% operated by parent volunteers, officers, and event directors. The NCJRA is composed of cowboys and cowgirls between the ages of 6-18 years of age. NCJRA is committed and dedicated to developing California's youth in the sport of rodeo, as well as preserving the western lifestyle. We strive to build interest, understanding, and appreciation for the western life, sportsmanship, hard work, and family involvement. Our mission is to encourage and promote Junior Rodeo on a regional scale and work towards national recognition for this association and its contestant membership. We strive to increase and maintain interest in Rodeo at this level, and promote and provide a Finals Rodeo and awards program befitting this level of competition.
In 2023, we had over 190 members during the season with the top ten in each event qualifying for the year end finals. We produce rodeos at various arenas around Northern California to provide the greatest opportunity for kids to be able to participate. The NCJRA is truly an association for and about the kids. Although our parents volunteer many hours to the association as directors, flaggers, timers, etc., we are substantially funded by donations and fundraising events. Our goal is to award our participants for their skills and strong dedication at each rodeo.
As we prepare for our 2024 Rodeo Season, we are once again looking to our community for its help in raising money for our rodeo athletes. Annually, NCJRA holds approximately 12 Rodeos, with over 200 participants at each rodeo. Your sponsorship/donation will go towards these special awards as well as help to defray the costs of our rodeos which include; arena rental, rodeo equipment, insurance costs, stock charges, and much more. We have specific sponsorship levels but also appreciate any monetary or product donation.
Your support will ensure that the NCJRA continues to be a positive influence in the lives of numerous children who train, compete and give their all to compete in the sport of rodeo. The NCJRA season kicks-off in April and will finish o ff with the Finals Rodeo in September. If you would like to be part of their success, please look into the different sponsorship options.
Thank you so much for your time and consideration. Your contribution is greatly appreciated!
Sincerely,
Northern California Junior Rodeo Association (NCJRA)
